Xu Yingxin: Yarn Exhibition to Effectively Connect Upstream and Downstream
Xu Yingxin, Executive Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Textile Industry Branch, highlighted that this year's China International Textiles & Yarn (Autumn & Winter) Exhibition is once again taking place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, alongside the China International Home Textiles and Accessories Fair and the China International Knitting Fair. This co-location strategy is designed to strengthen collaboration between upstream and downstream players in the textile industry, thereby amplifying the overall impact and value of the event.
The yarn exhibition has become a key platform that effectively meets the needs of both home textile and knitting companies. This year, nearly 100 yarn manufacturers have been strategically placed in Pavilion W4, allowing them to be displayed alongside home textile companies. This arrangement makes it easier for home textile enterprises to locate and connect with their upstream suppliers, fostering stronger business relationships.
Additionally, the location of the yarn exhibition in Pavilion W4, adjacent to the Knitting Fair in Hall W5, creates a seamless link between knitting companies and raw material suppliers. This strategic positioning enhances the flow of communication and cooperation across the supply chain.
In terms of participation, the number of exhibitors has increased by 94 compared to last year, reflecting the growing importance of the event and the confidence of companies in its value. The diversity of participating companies has also expanded, with a broader range of product types now on display. These include viscose filament yarns, functional fibers, colored spinning yarns, and core-spun yarns—each catering to specific demands from downstream textile industries. This variety not only enriches the exhibition experience but also strengthens the connectivity across the entire textile supply chain.
