Teach you how to buy shoes

On January 19th, I came across a trick that most people tend to overlook, and I'm going to walk you through it step by step.

When shopping online, especially on Taobao, it's important to pay attention to the store's promotions. Some shops clearly offer free shipping, but many buyers ignore this, and the sellers don't always remind them. This can lead to unnecessary postage costs. Even if there's no free shipping, standard shipping via STO or YTO usually costs around 10 RMB, and up to 15 RMB in remote areas. SF Express charges around 20 RMB. Some unscrupulous sellers charge as much as 15-20 RMB for postage, which is basically fraud. It's really shameful.

A while back, I bought a pair of shoes from an Adi shell store on Taobao for the first time. There was no postage fee at the time. After the purchase, the seller messaged me saying that old customers could join their group. They promised early access to new products. Since I planned to buy more clothes later, I decided to join the group. I found out that old customers got a 10% discount. I was shocked when I realized I had lost about 30 RMB. Later, I asked a friend to check it out. He joined the group and saw that the owner gave old customers special prices. The group even had a QQ nickname. From then on, I started searching for similar groups online, joining them quickly, and making a few tens of RMB in just minutes. Everyone can try this too.

Don’t believe me? Here’s the Taobao link: http://adbk.taobao.com. That’s the official store. The group number is 31478679. My friend tried to join but couldn’t, so I checked the QQ space for the group: http://user.qzone.qq.com/1648021558?ptlang=2052

After sharing the trick, let me move on to something else.

Many people feel uneasy buying genuine shoes on Taobao. Now, I want to share my personal experience on how to spot real Nike and Adidas shoes. The problem is, there are so many fake “genuine” shoes online with low prices that it’s hard to tell what’s real. This affects both customers and honest sellers. This is just my opinion, so please forgive any mistakes.

I’ll use Nike and Adidas as examples. These two brands are the most popular, so it makes sense to focus on them.

1. If you're looking to buy genuine shoes, start by searching for "Genuine Nike" or "Genuine Adidas." This helps narrow down the results because real sellers will always include the word "genuine" in the product title. Some stores might use "authentic" instead, but it’s still a good sign.

2. Next, sort by price from low to high. Genuine shoes won’t be priced too low—unless they’re knockoffs. I recommend skipping anything under 300 RMB. Most of those are fake. For higher-priced items, only consider them if they fit your budget.

3. Once you’ve narrowed it down, take your time to review each listing. First, check the product title. Words like "foreign trade," "original factory," "1:1 replica," or "genuine quality" are red flags—they often mean the item is fake. Real sellers wouldn’t need to use such flashy terms. Instead, look at the product description. Authentic sellers usually list details like styles, sizes, and other relevant info. If a store doesn’t have that, it’s likely not genuine.

Now, let’s talk about the most important part: how to tell if a shoe is real.

First, don’t assume that a real shoe must come with a box and tags. Some genuine shoes are sold without boxes, and some stores don’t include tags. Focus on craftsmanship, materials, and the tongue tag (which acts as a shoe ID). Genuine shoes are well-made, with smooth surfaces and neat stitching. For example, Nike shoes should have evenly spaced stitches, typically 2mm apart. If the stitching looks messy, it’s probably fake. As for the label, there are plenty of guides online, so you can check those yourself.

Now, let’s discuss Adidas shoes. Look at the size markings on the bottom of the shoe. The second line should match the millimeter measurement of the shoe. The third line should align with the third-to-last number of the second line. If they don’t match, it’s likely fake. Also, Adidas sizes are marked with fractions. For example, 41 1/3, not just 41. If you see a whole number like 42, it should be written as 42 2/3. If it's written as 42 1/3, that’s a sign of a fake.
